Adjective to Describe my Art

My zine, "Frosted," is a collection of my favorite cookie recipes! Each page of the zine includes a cookie recipe and an image of the baked good. The front and back cover of my zine also includes images of cookies that I have baked. To create the interior pages of my zine, I created a grid with 12 columns and 12 rows, which allowed me to include a large amount of information while maintaining alignment and structure in the layout. I used the grid to create 3 different layouts that were alternated throughout the interior pages. I used paragraph and character styles to create consistent titles, ingredient lists, direction lists, and captions. I adjusted the weights, sizes, and color of the text to create a typographic hierarchy. I created a color palette for the background color and the color of the text, including a light pastel purple, a dark purple, and a tan/brown color (to hopefully replicate the tan color of some of the cookies). I really enjoyed creating this zine, and I hope you like it as much as I do!
