Text-Based Art

I really liked the bright colors of this piece, they made me think of fruit (which also relates to the word in the image). The texture of the word "Ripe" made the text look almost wet, which also made me think about fruit. I thought the font of the text was fun, as it was a bit more organic and less formal and/or geometric. You can check out more of this artists' work here: https://www.moma.org/artists/5086.

I liked that this piece combined a number of fonts, it made me want to read every line because they all looked different. The lighting effects of this piece caught my eye, because it gave the sign some depth, and it made some of the words stand out. I also really enjoyed the retro vibe of this piece. I loved the scenery in this piece, especially the fact that it looked more like a painting than an actual photo. The dull colors really create a gloomy mood. I thought the shrinking text was really interesting and fun, as my eyes followed the text from the left to the right side of the image as the text got smaller and smaller.
