Representative Works

One of my favorite forms of art is drawing. I just recently started to use charcoal, as I used in this piece. This drawing was made during my Drawing 1 class at the University of Toledo, where I was assigned to create a portrait that included a historical aspect. My drawing features a portrait of myself presented in a similar way as some portraits of Queen Victoria.

While I enjoy drawing in black-and-white, I love the detail and complexity added by using color in my drawings. I also really love creating realistic drawings, such as the still life above. This drawing was made in a Drawing class in high school. I was assigned to draw a still life of various fruits and vegetables in soft pastel. This drawing won a 4-H trophy in the 2024 Monroe County Fair.

Another form of art I enjoy is painting. I am more familiar with acrylic paint, but I have also created some work using watercolors, as shown in the image above. The cards feature hand-painted watercolor berries for a fun theme. These greeting cards were created for the Monroe County Fair 4-H, in the greeting card category, and won a trophy in the 2024 Monroe County Fair.
